HOFFMANN, Eucharius (16de eeuw Heldburg, Türingen - ?) Duitser - Muziektheoreticus en componist. Hij was cantor te Stralsund tot 1580 en tweede rector aldaar vanaf 1582. Bekend zijn: 24 Cantiones 4, 5 et 6 v. accomodatae ad 12 tonos (1577), Deutsche Sprüche aus den Psalmen Davids (1577), Geistliche Epithalamia (1577), Cantica sacra (1582) en andere bundels. Als theoretisch werk is van hem bekend: Musicae practicae praecepta (1572) en Doctrina de Tonis seu Modis musicis (1582).
