JONES, William (Lowick 30.7.1726 - Nayland 6.1.1800) Engelsman - Componist en muziekgeleerde. Hij schreef o.m. Treatise on the art of music (1784) en componeerde Ten Church Pieces for the organ with four Anthems (1789), waaronder de bekende St.-Stephens hymne.
