BURRELL, KENNETH EARL (KENNY). Jazz guitarist (31 July 1931 in Detroit, Michigan). He came from a musical family: three brothers became professional musicians. He began playing guitar when he was twelve years old. He obtained his musical education in the public schools of Detroit, Michigan, and at Wayne University in Detroit (B. Mus., 1955).
