PORTER, KARL HAMPTON. Orchestra conductor (25 April 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania). He studied music as a child. During his high school years he played both saxophone and bassoon, the latter in the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra.
