TCHICAI, JOHN MARTIN. Jazz saxophonist (28 April 1936 in Copenhagen, Denmark). He obtained his musical education in the public schools of Aarhus, Denmark, and at the Aarhus Conservatory and the Copenhagen [Denmark] Conservatory. He began violin study at the age of ten, later studying alto saxophone and clarinet. His style development was influenced by the black American jazzmen who gave concerts in Copenhagen.
