DAY (Alfred). English physician and musician, author of a Treatise on Harmony, Lond., 8vo [1845], n. d. He was London, Jan. 1810, and London, Feb. 11, 1849. His work on harmony advocates the alteration of a number of technical terms, most of which have been adopted by Macfarren and others.
