RANDHARTINGER (Benedict). Austrian comp., Ruprechtshofen, Jul. 27, 1802. S. under Salieri. Was a tenor singer for a time. Court Chap.-master at Vienna, 1862. Comp. a large number of works, including an opera, symphonies, masses and motets, part-songs and songs. Otherwise celebrated as a friend of Schubert.
