Akhmetov [Akhmyétuhff], Fasil' Akhmetgaliyevich (, Saltyk-Yarykly, Kukmorsky distr.). Grad. 1962 from the Kazan Cons., where he studied with Leman, Litinsky, Yu. Vinogradov , and Zhiganov and taught from 1965–77. His Qt and other works incorporate Tatar folk songs and other regional elements.
