Armenyan, Gevork Artashesovich

Armenyan [Arminyán], Gevork Artashesovich (1–5–1920, Tbilisi). Grad. 1953 from the Yerevan Cons., where he was a pupil of G. Yegiazaryan. In 1958 completed post-grad. study with Arapov at the L. Cons. and joined the faculty of the Yerevan Cons. His comp. style is closely tied to that of folk music.
