Fomin [Faméen], Yevstigney Ipatovich (8–5/16–1761, P.; [4–27]5-?–1800, same). Great grandfather of N. Fomin . Fomin began studies at the music department of the P. Academy of Arts in 1776, where his instructors included Buini, Raupach, and Sartori. With a scholarship he studied in Bologna (1782–1786) under Martini and Mattei and was elected to the Bologna Philharmonic Academy.
