Karamanov [Kuhramánuhff], Alemdar Sabitovich (9–10–1934, Simferopol). Grad. 1958 from the M. Cons., studying pf with V. Natanson and comp. with S. Bogatyryov , then completed post-grad. work with Kabalevsky and Khrennikov. Comp. principally in symphonic genres and in a style infl. by Prokof'yev, Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich , and A. N. Skryabin.
