Konyus (Conus), Yuly Eduardovich (1–18/30[2–1]–1869, M.; [1–3]12–3–1942, Melenki [now Vladimir distr.]). Violinist, pedagogue, and comp. Son of E. Konyus, brother of G. and L. Konyus, father of S. Konyus. Konyus received his musical training principally at the M. Cons., where he studied vn with Hřímalý, and comp. with Arensky and S. I. Taneyev.
