Morkov [Mórkuhff], Vladimir Ivanovich (1801, P.; 11–25–1864, same). Guitarist and comp. Studied the guitar with Sikhra. Wrote a hist. of Russian opera from its beginnings to 1862 (P., 1862), as well as several articles. Works: guitar pieces and transcr. (D3390); method for the 7-str guitar.
