Venevitinov [Vineevéeteenuhff], Mikhail Alekseyevich (2–25–1844; 9–14–1901, Novozhitnoye, Voronezh distr.). Writer, comp., and archaeologist. Grandson of Mikhail Viel'gorsky . Was one of the organizers of the Voronezh section of the RMS (1868) and its mus. sch. (1870s). Also wrote interesting articles on Glinka and Meyerbeer and Liszt and his grandfather (“Glinka i Meierber,” reprinted in SM [2/1961]; “F. List i graf Viel'gorsky,” Russkaya starina [11/1886]).
