Yatsevich [Yitsyéveech], Yury Mikhailovich (11–5–1901, Poltava). Grad. 1934 from the M. Cons., where he studied with Shebalin. In 1937 completed post-grad. work there, joined the faculty (remaining until 1941), and became editor-in-chief of Muzgiz. His students incl. Kh. Akhmetov and Murtazin.
