Zagorsky [Zagórsky], Vasily Georgiyevich (2–27–1926, Karamakhmed [now Shevchenkovo], Odessa distr.). Comp. and pedagogue. Grad. 1952 from the Kishinev Cons., where he was a pupil of Gurov. Joined the faculty of the Institute of Arts in 1956 and has also held administrative positions. Many of his works deal with patriotic propaganda subjects and include Moldavian national elements.
