FENTON, GEORGE

George Fenton was born in London and began his career as a guitarist; he turned to full-time composing after 1975. His main field of activity was in film, television and theater composition, although he wrote several concert works, including Birthday, a children’s opera. His television credits include Bergerac, Shoestring, The Monocled Mutineer, The History Man, Life in the Freezer, and Beyond the Clouds.
