BANNON, R. C. (b. Daniel Shipley, Dallas, Tex., May 2, 1945) Bannon is a SINGER/SONGWRITER in the countrypolitan style who was upstaged on the charts by his then-wife, LOUISE MANDRELL . Bannon grew up in Texas, where he first sang in his church choir.
