BELL, Steve Steve Bell, the son of a prison chaplain, began his full-time music career in the bars of western Canada where he played in folk, rock, and country bands for almost a decade. A renewal of faith saw him writing Christian oriented music and, beginning with his first solo album in 1989 called Comfort My People, he has built a loyal following in Canada and the United States.
