Talma, Louise Juliette. Arcachon, France, 31 October 1906 – Yaddo, Saratoga Springs, New York, 13 August 1996 Louise Talma was born in France of American parents. Her mother, Alma Cecile Garrigue, was an opera singer; her father, Frank, a pianist. Following the death of her father, she and her mother settled in New York in 1914.
