I have this audio bootleg of a Jimi Hendhx performance in the Manhattan club The Scene from 1968. Hendrix's guitar is stunningly inventive as he pushes sounds from it that one would think came from at least two different guitars and maybe a synthesizer as well. Hendhx gave many notable performances during his short career: the breakout at Monterey when he set his guitar on fire (remembered in the classic D. A. Pennybaker films, Monterey Pop [1967] and Jimi Plays...
