Golinelli, Stefano

GOLINELLI, Stefano, born Oct. 26, 1818, at Bologna, was taught pianoforte playing and counterpoint by Benedetto Donelli, and composition by Vaccaj. He was professor at the Liceo of Bologna from 1840 to 1870, having been appointed by Rossini while director. To this composer Golinelli dedicated his 24 Preludes for pianoforte, op. 23.
