Tye Cristoforo. Prete inglese, organista e valente Compositore di musica sacra, m. nel 1572; ebbe nel 1545 il dottorato in musica dall'Università di Cambridge e nel 1548 il professorato in musica ad Oxford. Pubblicò: The acts of the apostels, translated into Englyshe metre... with notes to eche chapter, to synge and also to playe upon the Lute, ecc. (Londra, 1553); alcune sue composizioni da chiesa (Anthems, ecc.), si trovano nelle raccolte Harmonica sacra del Page, Cathedral music del Boyce…
