Campbell, Lucie (April 30, 1885, Duck Hill, MS; January 3, 1963, Nashville, TN) Lucie Eddie Campbell was the youngest of nine children, and her parents, Burrell and Isabella Wilkerson Campbell, were former slaves. Following emancipation, the father secured work as an Illinois Central brake-man, and died shortly after his daughter’s birth in a work-related incident.
