Record Boys
Record Boys A male ensemble that broadcast regularly on radio stations WJZ and WRC (New York) in 1926–1927. Members were Al Bernard, Frank Kamplain, and Sam Stept. A popular recording was Hokum (Vocalion #15308, and other labels). Kamplain, a yodeler and singer, started a new group of the same name when the original one dissolved in 1927. It included baritone Tom Ford and pianist Lew Cobey; they also recorded for Brunswick and made one Edison Diamond disc.
