Goldband Records Eddie Shuler’s Goldband Records was run out of his small shop/recording studio in Lake Charles, Louisiana. His successes included the million selling “ Paper in My Shoe ” by Boozoo Chavis, which is considered the first zydeco recording, the only recordings of Cajun legend Iry Lejeune, and several Swamp Pop hits.
