High Water Label begun in 1979 by Dr. David Evans and Memphis State University (later University of Memphis). Specializes in the music of Memphis and north Mississippi including the Fieldstones with Wilroy Sanders, Jessie Mae Hemphill, and early recordings of Junior Kimbrough and R. L. Burnside.
