Jewel/Paula/Ronn Jewel was established by Stan Lewis in 1963 in Shreveport, Louisiana. In 1948 he opened his first retail record store in a small chain that would come to be known at Stan’s Record Shop, and he advertised his business through sponsoring radio broadcasts on clear channel stations in Shreveport and Little Rock, Arkansas.
