l'accen (FR) (faux-primitive French) l'accent (N-M) an increase of intensity on one sound, either in speech or music; raising of the voice; any change in sound that draws attention to that sound; graphical sign that represents verbal or musical accentuation; inflections of the voice that express certain sentiments; expressive sounds; personal character; a community's particular phonic manner of speech.
