Le Carafon

Le Carafon (FR) The »Baby« Carafe. Poulenc's setting (1960, La Courte Paille #6) for voice and piano of a poem by Carême from La cage aux grillons (The Cricket Cage, 1959). The title is a play on the word girafon, which is baby talk for »baby giraffe.« The poem's original title is »La Carafe.«
