La Carpe (FR) The Carp. Poulenc's setting (1918 / 19, Le Bestiaire #6) for voice and small instrumental band (string quartet, flute, clarinet, and bassoon) or piano of the 23rd poem by Apollinaire from Le Bestiaire (1911). In a letter dated 29 August 1910, from Apollinaire to Raoul Dufy (1877 – 1953), containing this poem, the first two lines are transposed.
