Chanson d'amour

Chanson d'amour (FR) Love Song. Fauré's setting (1882, Op. 27, #1) for voice and piano of the fifth poem from the third section »Vers pour être chantés« (Poems to be sung) from the volume »Le Pays des roses« (1882) by Silvestre. Fauré repeats the first stanza between the other stanzas, creating a refrain. The song is dedicated to Mlle. Jane Huré.
