Couplets bachiques (FR) Bacchic Couplets. Poulenc's setting (1925 / 26, Chansons gaillardes #5) for voice and piano of an anonymous 17th century text. The poem's original title is simply »CXII« (112). Poulenc writes: »[the song] must be done very fast, the accompaniment with the precision of a piano etude.«
