Le Dromadaire

Le Dromadaire (FR) The Dromedary. Poulenc's setting (1918 / 19, Le Bestiaire #1) for voice and small instrumental band (or piano) of the 10th poem from Le Bestiaire (1911) by Apollinaire. The poem was first published in La Phalange on 15 June 1908. The poem was also set, for mixed vocal quartet, by Belgian composer Jean Absil (1893 – 1974).
