L'Ecrevisse

L'Ecrevisse (FR) The Crayfish (sometimes translated as crab). Poulenc's setting (1918 / 19, Le Bestiaire #5) for voice and small instrumental band (or piano) of the 22nd poem from Le Bestiaire (1911) by Apollinaire. The poem was also set, for mixed vocal quartet, by Belgian composer Jean Absil (1893 – 1974).
