Fête galante (FR) Gallant Festival. Debussy's setting (1882) for voice and piano of the third poem by Banville from Les Cariatides, Livre troisième—Les Caprices en dizains à la manière de Clément Marot (Cariatids – Book III – Caprices in dizains in the style of Clément Marot, [1839 / 42]). Some of the music was later reworked as the »Menuet« from Debussy's piano duet Petite Suite (1889). On the title page is the inscription: »Musique Louis IXV [sic] avec formules 1882« (Louis XIV [1638 – 1715]…
