Hier (FR) Yesterday. Poulenc's setting (1931, Trois Poèmes de Louise Lalanne #3) for voice and piano of a poem by Apollinaire and Laurencin. Poulenc associated the song with Yvonne Printemps and a painting of an interior by Vuillard (1868–1940). Poulenc writes: »If you just think about the words you are saying, the color will come all by itself.«
