Il dort encore (FR) He Is Still Sleeping. Debussy's setting (1882) for voice and piano of the opening two strophes of Théodore de Banville's comédie lyrique »Hymnis,« from a series of sketches for an unrealized musical drama. Hymnis is looking tenderly at the sleeping Anacreon. Debussy repeats every line.
