Mazurka Poulenc's setting (1949) for voice and piano of a poem by Vilmorin from Mouvements du coeur (Movements of the Heart) a set of songs for bass voice commissioned by Polish bass Doda Conrad. Auric (1899–1983), Françaix (1912–1997), Milhaud (1892–1974), Poulenc, Preger (1907–1965), and Sauguet (1901 –1989) each set a poem by Vilmorin to commemorate the centenary of Polish composer/pianist Frédéric Chopin's (1810–1849) death.
