Offrande

l'Offrande (FR) The Offering. Poulenc's setting (1925 / 26, Chansons gaillardes #6) for voice and piano of a poem »La Petite Fronde« by Charles Collé (1709–1783), a playwright and one of the bawdy songsmiths of Paris' Pont Neuf. Poulenc's song is a setting of only the second stanza (six lines) of the two-stanza poem.
