Quimper
Quimper French city in southwestern Brittany, on a bay leading to the Atlantic Ocean. In Breton »kemp-er« means »junction.« Quimper is the home of the Breton saint (not recognized by Rome) Corentin, who is said to have lived on one perpetually regenerating fish. Quimper pottery, white with blue and yellow figures, is admired by many collectors. (Jacob)
