Soupir

Soupir (FR) Sigh. Debussy's setting (1913, Trois Poèmes de Stéphane Mallarmé #1) for voice and piano of a poem by Mallarmé. Mallarmé described this poem, written at Tournon in April 1864, as »an autumnal reverie.« It was first published in the revue Le Parnasse contemporain on 12 May 1866.
