Suzette

Suzette Suzette Chanlaire, sister-in-law of painter Richard Chanlaire (b. unk. – d. 1970, Poulenc's first lover). Richard painted primarily on fabrics which were utilized by many of the most prestigious Parisian couture houses, such as Dior, Balmain, and Fath. Poulenc spent much time with them in the Touraine region of France in the 1920s. There he met Frédérique (Freddy), Suzette's cousin and the mother of his daughter, Marie-Ange (b. 1946).
