Sylvie Fauré's setting (1878, Op. 6, #3) for voice and piano of a poem by Paul de Choudens. The original title of the poem is Lucette. Numerous text repetitions are made by Fauré, as usual, to match his expansive musical phrasing, already conceived »despite« the words. The song is dedicated to Mme. la Vicomtesse de Gironde.
