Vers le Sud

Vers le Sud (FR) Toward the South. Poulenc's setting (1948, Calligrammes #3) for voice and piano of the 14th poem from the Case d'armons (Munitions Hut) section of Calligrammes (1913 – 1916) by Apollinaire. The poem was writen on 3 April 1915, first printed at the WWI battlefront on 17 June 1915, and later published in Nord-Sud on 12 February 1918.
