Voyage

Voyage (FR) Journey. Poulenc's setting (1948, Calligrammes #7) for voice and piano of the 14th poem from the first section »Ondes« (Waves) of Calligrammes (1913 – 1916) by Apollinaire. The poem was first published in Les Soirées de Paris in the July / August 1914 issue. The poem originated in Apollinaire's response to his former lover Marie Laurencin's marriage and departure on her honeymoon.
