KUHMO FESTIVAL

KUHMO FESTIVAL , founded by cellist Seppo Kimanen in 1970 for chamber music, in a remote Finnish village near the eastern border. In 1977 his wife, violinist Yoshiko Arai-Kimanen, replaced him as artistic director. Over 100 musicians from twenty countries live together and play music for two weeks, with music nonstop from morning to night.
