MAJ LIND PIANO COMPETITION

MAJ LIND PIANO COMPETITION , a competition for young Finnish pianists held every other year since 1945. Maj Lind was a wealthly music lover who provided for the competition in her will. Among the winners have been Leena Siukonen-Penttilä, Tapani Valsta, Kauko Kuosma, Risto Lauriala, Raija Alestalo-Rakko, Leif Segerstam, Jussi Siirala, Juhani Raiskinen, Marketta Valve, Eino Heinonen, Juhani Lagerspetz, and Raija Kerppo.
