CACCINI, Francesca Italianguitarist, harpsichordist, lutenist, poetess, singer and composer. Florence, September 18, 1587; ca. 1640. She was the eldest daughter of composer Giulio Caccini and his wife Lucia, a singer. Francesca studied singing and composition under her father and learned to play the lute at an early age.
