POLICARPO TEIXEIRA, Maria Margarida Fernandes Portuguese concert pianist, violinist, teacher and composer. Guimaraes, 1905. She studied solfege and music theory under her father, Antonio Fernandes Policarpo; the violin under her uncle and the piano under Julia Viamonte. She gave her first piano concert at the age of ten and performed in several towns in Portugal.
